Statement
Under the heading ‘Existential Diagrams’ I am exploring the pictorial possibilities of emotional narrative and psychological undercurrents.
I think of paintings as objects or diagrams of existence that I make to keep me company, to exchange glances with. Sometimes I think they that may contain clues of lost knowledge. By continuing to make paintings I increase the chances of recovering this knowledge.
I am interested in reciprocity, the energy exchange between the viewer and the artwork.
