Why painting? How does it happen?
Painting is direct and of the body. There are endless possibilities inside or outside tradition and isms.
Under the heading ‘Existential Diagrams’ I think I am attempting to explore the pictorial and narrative possibilities of emotional and psychological drama.
The paintings or pictures I make are objects to keep me company, something different to exchange glances with. I am also at times interested in reciprocity, the energy exchange between the viewer and the artwork. I suppose I am looking out for something beyond knowledge that resides in the nothingness of the present.
