New Constructivists is an association of professional artists with a strong interest in non figurative work.
Formed in 2001 the members of the association work in different ways with ideas derived from geometry, abstraction and science. Rather than attempting to revive formal constructivism of the last century, they explore it’s stylistic relevance to the contemporary world in terms of the use of line, planes, precision and formal ordering of visual elements.
The association held an inaugural exhibition at Cottons Atrium in October 2002 when it was formally opened by the scientist and author Colin Tudge.
